Description of material: master class on creating an ecological toy. This material will be useful for educators, teachers, parents and their children.

Target: introduce methods of making eco-toys.

Tasks:

enrich knowledge about living and inanimate nature;

develop the ability to observe, analyze, draw conclusions;

develop creative imagination and thinking;

develop fine motor skills of fingers;

cultivate a love for nature.

Introduction.

We all know how relevant the environmental topic is nowadays, when much depends on human activities, which are increasingly leading to the destruction of the environment.

What can we, adults, do to preserve it? First of all, teach children from an early age to understand the significance of nature, teach them to love, take care of it and, of course, direct all actions only towards the preservation and revival of all living things.

Where does it all begin? From observing on walks, from conducting research activities, different types of games, from getting to know works about nature, from artistic activities and much, much more. The main thing is to interest the child and then he himself will want to know even more, because children are very inquisitive.

Therefore, I would like to offer this master class on creating an ecological toy, “The Grasshopper,” as one of the methods for introducing children to living nature. It is popularly called by many other names: eco-human, lively, eco-human. Many people think that making it is very difficult, so they buy it in stores, but after today’s lesson you will see that not only an adult, but also a child can make this toy. And joint creativity will leave unforgettable impressions and emotions.

What's unique about it? And the uniqueness lies in the fact that this toy is alive. After all, she grows “hair” - grass, which you can later water, cut, and do various hairstyles. The child will be able to observe the growth of a plant from a small grain to a strong, mature sprout.

Progress:

What do we need to create a toy? So: nylon stockings or socks, scissors, glue (preferably “moment”) or a glue gun, sawdust, seeds (barley, rye, wheat, lawn grass), small details for decoration (eyes, buttons, beads, flowers...), small rubber bands (optional).

Step 1. Now let's get to work. First, you need to cut off several thin strips from the stocking: these will be the ropes with which we will connect the main parts. And cut off a piece of nylon stocking (determine the size yourself: depending on the size of the toy), turn it inside out, tie one end with a rope and turn it back so that the rope remains inside.

Step 2. It is necessary to pour seeds: 2-3 spoons. Distribute them, add sawdust on top, compact them well and form a tight ball or oval.

Step 3. Then squeeze the toy with both hands and tie it with a string in the same place. Where the seeds are, there will be a mushroom cap, and the lower part will be the stem. Shape the hat by flattening. I would like to note that working with sawdust (especially if it is small) is reminiscent of working with plasticine, so you can easily cope with this task.

Step 4. But that is not all. To make our fungus more interesting and fabulous, we will make it arms and legs. To do this, from the lower part (the mushroom stem), we “pull out” the arms and legs on the sides and tie them with ropes or rubber bands. Again, I want to note that it is easier to work with elastic bands, but I do not recommend bandaging the main parts with them, as they may tear.

Step 5. Now let's start decorating the mushroom. First, of course, you should glue or draw eyes, a mouth, and a nose with a marker. Then it all depends on your imagination: you can glue a flower, a ribbon, buttons, etc. But you shouldn’t heavily decorate the places where the seeds are, because “hair” will grow there.

One more tip. If you want to make a horizontal toy (hippopotamus, turtle...), then first you must pour sawdust into the stocking, compact it, and then, pushing the sawdust to the side with a spoon, add the seeds.

I hope that this master class will be useful to you, because in such an interesting and entertaining form of learning about ecology, children will be able to observe, analyze, and draw conclusions.

Educator

JV "Kindergarten No. 27" GBOU secondary school No. 38, Syzran

Target master class: dissemination and transfer of teaching experience, teaching techniques making an ecological toy - a herbalist.

Tasks:

Professional development mastery of teachers;

Introducing teachers of preschool educational institutions to techniques making ecological toys.

Ecological culture is a consciously correct attitude towards phenomena, objects of living and inanimate nature. Preschoolers develop environmental culture, subject to close contact and various forms of interaction of the child with plants and animals available in the premises and area of the kindergarten. The child learns that all living things have certain needs, which can be satisfied only in the presence of external conditions - a habitat suitable for a particular organism. Ecological Education of preschool children is the knowledge of living things that are next to the child, in connection with the environment, and on this basis the development of the correct forms of interaction with him.

By observing the phenomena of natural objects, the child enriches his sensory experience, on which his further creativity is based. The more deeply a child learns about the mysteries of the world around him, the more questions he has. The main task of an adult is to help the child independently find answers to these questions. In order to satisfy children's curiosity, instill the first skills of activity and independent thinking, our kindergarten teachers create conditions for children's search and research activities, which contributes to the formation of children's aesthetic perception, a sense of beauty and a humane attitude towards nature.

Objects and natural phenomena are clearly presented to children. Children learn many connections and relationships between natural phenomena through the process of observation, where children become familiar with the properties and qualities of objects and natural phenomena and learn to notice their changes and development. They develop curiosity.

In order to involve children in practical activities of growing cultural and ornamental plants, to develop interest in experimental and research activities, my colleagues and I are creating various projects - "Vegetable gardens on the window". At the same time, it is very important that children actively participate in planting and subsequent care of plants. In order to interest the guys, we offer make an ecological toy with them - a grasshopper.

Who it grasshopper? This eco-toy, which you can buy in a store, but it’s much more interesting to make it yourself. Idea herbalist or herbalist belongs to a couple of amateur gardeners from Indonesia. All the kids love this one toy since they can watch how the hair- blades of grass grow from a toy. First ours the grasshopper will be just a toy made with your own hands, but in a few days it will begin to sprout grass and he will turn into an object of observation. Such toy not only develops imagination and fine motor skills, but also teaches responsibility. After all, in order the little grass grows, he needs care. Eco-toy instills in children a desire to grow a plant from seeds themselves, hard work, a caring attitude towards the surrounding nature and accuracy when doing work; teaches simple labor skills; forms an idea of needs plants: heat, light, moisture, soil. The child happily waters his toy, watches it grow every day grass, and when the time comes, he cuts it, making intricate hairstyles. The work process is simple and interesting.

Necessary materials for creation grasshopper:

Lawn seeds herbs, or oats;

– nylon tights or socks;

– several thin strips of tights, or small elastic bands;

– sawdust;

- scissors,

– acrylic paints and materials for decoration (eyes, beads, ribbons).

Order manufacturing:

1. Take a piece of nylon tights about 10 cm. We tie it on one side and make something like a nylon bag. Sprinkle a handful of lawn seeds grass or oats. We fill the remaining space of the bag with sawdust and stuff it. After the entire bag is filled, tie the other side and cut off the excess fabric.

2. Next, we begin to form the resulting ball into grasshopper. To do this, we use prepared strips of tights or elastic. With their help you can form the head, hands, nose, ears of our toys. We experiment, and we will definitely come up with some funny creature.

3. Next, we proceed to decorating and coloring. First we glue the eyes. These can be small buttons, they can be cut from thick fabric, you can buy ready-made ones in the store. "eyes". We draw eyelashes and mouth with acrylic paints. We add accessories at our discretion. The grasshopper can be painted, then it will be even more colorful, brighter. For coloring it is better to use acrylic paints, because in the future we will water our grasshopper and the gouache will leak and smudge.

4. That's all, we turned out great eco-toy! Now we soak it in water for about an hour so that it properly absorbs the water and the seeds that are in it swell. Then we put toy in a small container, watch, don’t forget to water.

After 3-5 days our grass will begin to appear"hairstyle".

After 14 days we can trim grass.

An ecological toy is two in one: toy and a houseplant, which in a playful way explains to the child how to care for plants. The grasshopper is asking for it to be touched, stroked, picked up, and hair done. It is very interesting to watch how the first tender roots appear, then green grass! It's nice to touch the little one grass, feel its coolness, hear the voice of nature itself.

The entire production process, from collecting milk containers to packaging toys, takes place in one US state.

The absence of long-distance transport allows us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Eco-toys are tested to be free of lead, cadmium and phthalates, and are packaged in corrugated boxes made from recycled materials. Retail chains and stores in Russia that stock Green Toys can be found on the website. Price: from 15$
