This year, the “Teacher of the School of the Future” Olympiad consists of two separate competitions: for students in grades 5-7 and for students in grades 8-11, we are preparing two separate sets of qualifying stage tasks. "SCHOOL TEACHER OF THE FUTURE"
The purpose of this article is to introduce foreign language teachers to the structure and content of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in foreign languages “Teacher of the School of the Future”, held by the Moscow City Pedagogical University.
Due to the widespread introduction of unified state exams and the unification of the admission process to universities, it has become very difficult for graduates of secondary general education institutions who think outside the box to enter a prestigious university, since they often do not pass the Unified State Exam well enough due to their inability to cope with anxiety and emotions.
There is a great way to enter university without taking the Unified State Exam, which, unfortunately, is often forgotten. These are olympiads in academic subjects.
The first and main Olympiad for schoolchildren is all-Russian. To take part in the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren, students must first win at their school, win at the district stage, and then win the regional stage. A diploma of a winner or prize-winner of the All-Russian Olympiad allows graduates to enter any university without exams in areas of training related to foreign languages.
Not every student is able to withstand such a test. There are no less interesting, but consisting of only two stages, university Olympiads in various academic subjects.
The Olympic movement began to actively develop in 2007, when the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation adopted the Law “On approval of the Procedure for holding school Olympiads.” All-Russian public organization The Russian Council of Rectors establishes the Russian Council of School Olympiads, which regulates and coordinates their conduct. The “Teacher of the School of the Future” Olympiad is included in the List of Olympiads for schoolchildren and is a 3rd level Olympiad. Methodological commissions include university teachers who develop tasks for state final certifications in foreign languages (OGE (GIA) and Unified State Exam) and/or are members of methodological commissions for developing tasks for the All-Russian Olympiad in Foreign Languages.

Qualifying stage of the Olympiad

Distance tour tasks in English, German and French are aimed at monitoring lexical-grammatical and spelling skills, knowledge of regional studies material and checking the understanding of written text.
The difficulty level of the qualifying stage materials is equal to level B1+ according to the Council of Europe scale. The maximum you can get in the qualifying round is 100 points.

The final stage of the Olympiad
At the final stage of the Olympiad “Teacher of the School of the Future”, which is held in 2 stages, the following competitive tests are taken:
Stage 1 - understanding of written language (reading), lexical and grammatical testing, written language(letter);

Unfortunately, I cannot evaluate the assignments, because... I don't speak German. But the child liked it and participated with pleasure. The impression of organizing the event was spoiled by the fact that the entire system froze 10 minutes before the end of the allotted time. My daughter was very worried that nothing was preserved. As a result, the assignments were accepted, but literally three points were missing from the prize. Perhaps, if not for this glitch in the system, we would have received our certificate. I sent a letter describing the problem and screenshots of screens for feedback (as the organizers asked - to write reviews), but received nothing in response. I hope the problem was resolved. We will definitely participate next year!

To complete the tasks of the Internet qualifying stage, you are given 1 (one!) attempt and 2 hours of time (plus or minus 15-30 minutes depending on the language). At the end of the test, the participant immediately sees the score he scored.
