Nowadays there are many household appliances, from a mixer to a dishwasher, that make our lives easier. A multicooker is one of these. For some housewives, it completely replaces pots, pans, and ovens, while some are wary of it and are afraid to cook food in this “kitchen aid.” If you can’t decide to make some complex dish in a slow cooker, start with a simple one, for example, buckwheat with vegetables.

Ingredients

  • half a glass of 250 g buckwheat
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt to taste

Preparation

1. You will also need 1.5 glasses with a volume of 250 g of ordinary water. Pour the buckwheat into a small plate, sort it out, removing bad grains, and rinse.

2. This must be done until the water becomes clear. Processing of cereals depends on its quality. Transfer the buckwheat into the multicooker bowl.

3. Next, clean the onion head and chop it.

4. Three carrots on a medium grater.

5. If you previously crushed and stored this root vegetable in the freezer, you can use it frozen, but in this case you should not defrost it first. Transfer the prepared vegetables to the multicooker bowl.

6. Pour in water, salt and mix. Buckwheat should be completely immersed in water.

7. Close the lid and start the “Extinguishing” mode.

This side dish goes well with any meat dish. And if you fast or don’t eat meat at all, it can be used as a completely independent dish. You can also give it to a child who has just begun to get used to the common table: the dish was stewed without a single drop of oil.

Believe me, once you start cooking very simple dishes in a slow cooker, you will be happy to move on to more complex ones over time. It is important not to be afraid of new things. Cook simply, tasty and quickly.

Buckwheat porridge in a slow cooker is a simple, but at the same time very tasty dish. This dish will appeal to both adults and children. And also the housewives themselves will really like it, since you won’t have to stand near the stove, constantly guarding the dish. The multicooker itself will make sure that nothing burns, and the buckwheat in the multicooker will turn out crumbly and aromatic. And even if you are a little late, the multicooker itself will turn off the cooking mode and turn on the heating mode. It's very profitable! And you will always have a hot and tasty dish waiting for you in the slow cooker.
